Pretend you don't see anything coming out of the stacks. Right! That is what we are doing.Vocational MBA

Wonderful article on energy sippers waste big energy. Things that use electricity when turned off. Wasted energy. Inefficiency. Ignorance. Talk about not being able to see the woods because all of the trees are in the way. We'll start with a little story to get your brain in gear.

Big Johnny sends little Johnny to the store to get a gallon of milk. He gives him $3.00. Ever obedient Johnny dutifully goes about the errand, and returns to big Johnny with one quart of milk and says he thinks he owes the grocer another $1.00. Big Johnny is truly ecstatic and calls Harvard to get Johnny enrolled in an MBA program leading to energy management. If you think big Johnny is stupid, think again.

Little Johnny turned one gallon of potential into one quart of reality and maybe a litttle debt. Every big electric utility using petrofuels (gasoline, diesel, natural gas) does exactly the same thing. They turn one gallon of potential energy into one quart of real electricity and they get paid a ton of money to do it and they automatically give the government a cut. Little Johnny delivered 25% of of his one gallon potential and that is exactly what our electric utilities do. If you give these companies one million btu's of almost any It's like throwing the meat out of a meat pie. I gotta get an MBA so I can better understand this.energy source, they will turn it into 250,000 btu's of electricity and expect a pat on the back and all the money in your wallet. Don't know about you, but I've got to find a way to invest in little Johnny's stock.

Do you want more energy? Look for the 75% the energy utilities lose for certain, because you know where it was last seen instead of trying to find more so they can waste more.
